Yep, I'm a little behind, but wow, I'm enjoying every minute of this study.
I love the term they used as we re-capped Day 3. It's the term "whole-life" worship. It made me chuckle as I thought of the word in terms of insurance. Typically, agents steer people away from "whole life" life insurance and steer them to "term life" insurance. I realize that insurance deals more with a time frame than a person's "whole being." However, it's fun to think in terms of time. Insurance agents suggest term life because the older you get, the less life insurance your family will need in case of your death. In terms of worship, however, the older we get, the more we need to worship with our whole life!! I love it. The older I get, the more worship I will realize that I need to be doing. Upward, inward, and outward!!!
What an awesome thing to just reflect today on my thankfulness to God for what He's done. Wow, He's done so much!! And, I'm learning that I can be thankful through the tough times too, because they will come, but He uses all of them to make me stronger!!!
I pray that each and every one of you have a "God-blessin-your-socks-off" day!!!

DAY 3
The toughest day yet by far!!
As review, let's remember that God is looking for worship in 3 directions:
Upward (as we normally think of worship)
Inwardly (who I am when no one is looking)
Outwardly (sharing our faith, helping others, financial aid, sensitivity to our weaker brothers and sisters)
I have to admit it was rather convicting to read that God is actually sickened by upward "worshipful" acts that are not backed up by an inward and outward worship lifestyle. If we're not worshipping in the latter two directions, then it kind of makes our upward "Sunday" worship pointless, don't ya think?
I surrendered some things to the Lord today, did you? Tell us about it!!

Day 2
I find myself very distracted this morning. I've read through the devotional today, but I want to go deeper. I'll refrain from comment until I'm able to sit down again with the study.
What have you learned from today's lesson?

Day 1
So, how did day 1 go?
For me, it was an awesome time of reflection. Everyday, I gain more and more of an understanding that even typing right now can be just as much worship as lifting my hands on the stage on Sunday morning. If I come to the realization that God currently is allowing my fingers to move on this keyboard, it's worship. If I realize that I'm only breathing right now because of God's kindness, it's worship.
I loved the quote in the book that "the Christian life is actually one big 'Thou shalt'.....love God."
When I love God, all the good things that "good Christians" are supposed to do will be as natural as breathing.
Looking forward to your comments today!!
